Preston G. Walsh

Preston joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 1995. Previously, Preston was an analyst with Brentwood Associates, a venture capital and leveraged buyout firm. Prior to Brentwood Associates, he was a analyst in the merchant banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co., Inc. During business school, Preston was an associate at Crescent Capital Corporation, an investment firm focused on below investment-grade and mezzanine securities.

Preston is a director of American Track Services, Better Life Technology, LLC, Magnum Magnetics Corporation, Merex Holding Corporation, Metal Spinners, Inc., Prospect Mold, Inc. and Stampede Meat, Inc.; and has oversight for PNC Mezzanine’s investments in Salient Federal Solutions and True Temper, Inc. Preston was previously a director of Century Mold Co., Inc., Miller Heiman, Inc., The Windy Hill Pet Food Company, Inc., The Riddell Sports Group, Inc., Urban CableWorks LLC, The Hunt Valve Company, Tooling Technology, LLC, the Amerin Insurance Company and Tweeter Home Entertainment Group, Inc.

Preston received degrees in economics and engineering with honors from Princeton University and an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA, where he was a venture capital fellow.

Douglas P. Brosius

Doug rejoined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2004 after his time as an associate from 2000 through 2002. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Doug was an analyst at Parker/Hunter Incorporated, where he provided M&A advisory services to small and middle market companies in a broad range of industries. During business school, Doug was an associate in the Technology & Communications Group at Raymond James & Associates.

Doug is a director of American Grease Stick Company, Auto Meter Products, Inc., Coal Brick Oven Pizzeria, Inc. (dba Grimaldi’s Pizzeria), Eastern Vault Company, Inc., Molded Devices, Inc., Polycor, Inc., Sauce Holdings, LLC, Storage Battery Systems, LLC and VWS Holdco, Inc. (dba Virginia Waste Services); and has oversight responsibility for PNC Mezzanine’s investments in Mack Operations, LLC, Mountainside Fitness LLC and Pacon Corporation. Doug was previously a director of ACI Electronics, LLC, Century Mold Co., Inc., Distribution International, Inc., Cape Electrical Supply, LLC and Pet Partners LLC. Doug is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.

Doug received a BA in Sociology and Political Science with high honors from Westminster College and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

B. Douglas Phillips

Doug joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2002. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Doug was an analyst in the Leveraged Capital Group with Wachovia Securities, where he specialized in financial sponsor transactions. At Wachovia, Doug supported the origination, underwriting and syndication of leveraged bank loans, mezzanine debt issues and private equity investments across a broad range of industries.

Doug is a director of EPT Management, LLC (dba Excel Orthopedic Physical Therapy), Molded Devices, Inc., Prospect Mold, Inc., Resource Label Group, Inc., Sauce Holdings, LLC and Storage Battery Systems, LLC; and has oversight responsibility for PNC Mezzanine’s investments in Elgin Equipment Group LLC, Elgin Fastener Group, LLC and TPC Wire & Cable Corporation. Doug was previously a director of Bolttech, Inc., Metal Spinners, Inc., Sport & Health Holdings, LLC, Stampede Meat, Inc. and Tooling Technology, LLC.

Doug received a BA in Government from Harvard University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Graduate School of Business at the University of North Carolina where he was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honorary business society.

Robert B. Codol

Rob joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2007. Prior to joining PNC, Rob was an analyst for the Sterling Group, L.P., where he evaluated and executed leveraged buyout investments in middle market industrial companies. Before Sterling, Rob was an Associate Consultant for L.E.K. Consulting LLC where he provided strategic and operations advisory services to a broad range of clients.


Rob is a director of Eastern Vault Company, Inc., Identity Group Holdings Corp, Magnum Magnetics Corporation, Merex Holding Corporation, Polycor, Inc. and VWS Holdco, Inc. (dba Virginia Waste Services). Rob was previously a director of Century Mold Co., Inc.


Rob received a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA with high honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Lamar D. Horne

Lamar joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2008. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Lamar was an analyst in the Leveraged Capital Group with Wachovia Securities, where he specialized in financial sponsor transactions. Prior to Wachovia Securities, Lamar worked as a corporate finance intern with UBS Investment Bank in the Technology Division.

Lamar is a director of American Track Services and EPT Management, LLC (dba Excel Orthopedic Physical Therapy) and has oversight responsibility for PNC Mezzanine’s investments in AAMP of America, Astrodyne Corporation and Better Life Technology, LLC. Lamar was previously a director of Pet Partners, LLC.

Lamar received a BA in Business Administration from Morehouse College with a finance concentration and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Michael P. Venditti

Mike joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2011. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Mike was an analyst with Gordian Group, LLC, an investment bank specializing in middle market restructuring across a broad range of industries. Additionally, Mike worked with Bacchus Capital Management, LLC, a Gordian affiliate, evaluating and executing Mezzanine and Private Equity investments in the Wine Industry. Mike also previously worked as an Equity Research Intern with Federated Investors in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mike is a director of American Grease Stick Company, Metal Spinners, Inc. and Sauce Holdings, LLC; and has oversight responsibility for PNC Mezzanine’s investment in Coal Brick Oven Pizzeria, Inc. (dba Grimaldi’s Pizzeria), Reliable Parts Holdings, LLC and Test Equity, LLC.

Mike received a BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

George M. Pilafas

George joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2013. Prior to joining, George was an associate with Stephens in its investment banking division in New York City focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the Consumer industry. Prior to Stephens, George was a research associate at Gulf Stream Asset Management, a CLO fund in Charlotte, evaluating leveraged loan investments in the Energy, Chemicals and Business Services industries.

George received a BS in Economics from Vanderbilt University with a concentration in financial economics.

Mitchell H. Aulds-Stier

Mitchell joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2014. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Mitchell was an analyst with the High-Yield Municipal Group of BB&T Capital Markets, a Richmond based, middle market investment bank. Previously, Mitchell held internships in the areas of merger and acquisition advisory as well as biomedical consulting.

Mitchell earned a BS in Business Administration from Indiana University Kelley School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Management. Mitchell is currently a CFA Level II and a CAIA Level II Candidate.

Daniel J. Mozer

Dan joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2015. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Dan was an associate with Capstone Partners LLC, a Boston based investment bank specializing in middle market M&A advisory across a broad range of industries. Prior to Capstone, Dan worked at S&H Representatives, a consumer products firm, evaluating industry trends in consumer markets; and also worked as an analyst for a technology start-up in California.

Dan earned a BS in Finance from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University with a concentration in Marketing.

Husnain Safdar

Husnain joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in July 2016. Prior to joining PNC Mezzanine, Husnain was an Analyst with Harris Williams & Co., a Richmond, Virginia based investment bank specializing in M&A advisory services across a broad range of industries. Prior to Harris Williams & Co., Husnain underwrote commercial and corporate loans within PNC’s corporate banking division in Pittsburgh.

Husnain earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the College of Business Administration at University of Pittsburgh.

David founded PNC Mezzanine Capital in 1989. Previously, David was a founding member and later president of White River Capital, a bank-affiliated private equity fund and was a commercial banking officer at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.

David is a director of C-P Flexible Packaging, Eastern Vault Company, Inc., Reliable Parts Ltd., TestEquity LLC and VWS Holdco, Inc. (dba Virginia Waste Services). David was previously a director of ABP Corporation (dba Au Bon Pain), Global Promo Group, Inc, Brandt, Inc., DeVlieg-Bullard, Pet Partners LLC, S.R. Smith, LLC, Stiffel, Inc., Weasler Engineering Co. and Wheaton Industries, Inc.

David received a BA in economics from Williams College and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.

Jennifer W. Gurgovits
Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer joined PNC Capital Finance in 2012 after serving as the Investment Compliance Manager for the Investment Office at Carnegie Mellon University. She was also the Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Partner for Navigation Capital Partners and Controller for Mellon Ventures, where she managed the accounting system and valuation process for a $1.4 billion portfolio. She began her career as an auditor and consultant for the Financial Services practice of KPMG, LLP.

Jennifer earned a BA in Liberal Arts from Grove City College and MS in Accounting from Kent State University.

Steve joined PNC Equity Management in 2005. Previously, Steve held several Financial Management positions within PNC's Management Accounting Department. Before joining PNC, he was a Financial Analyst at Mellon Financial Services and Gulf Oil Corporation.

Steve is a Certified Management Accountant and he received a MBA from Robert Morris University.

Chandrika joined PNC Mezzanine Capital in 2011. Chandrika provides administrative and project support and coordinates all PNC Mezzanine Capital's daily activities. Prior to joining PNC, Chandrika was a Surgical Scheduler/Administrative Assistant Sr. at UPMC Health System; and she also worked as a C.A.D Designer at Cosmos Technologies in Pittsburgh, PA and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in Miami, FL.

Chandrika has a BFA in Interior Design from International Fine Arts College.
