Summer Internship Program Details

Program Overview

The Internal Audit Summer Internship Program is designed to build and strengthen audit, communication and leadership skills.

Interns will gain exposure to basic audit methodology process - audit planning process, process control narrative construction, risk and control matrix creation, control testing and reporting.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Interns will gain exposure to all pertinent areas within Internal Audit while being assigned to one specific audit team.  

Interns will be treated as an Internal Auditor during the internship and work directly with team members to complete audit projects and testing.

Assignments may include control testing, attending client meetings, writing process control narratives, updating workpapers and documenting findings.

The Summer Internship Program is a direct pipeline for talent into the Internal Audit Early Career Development Program, providing interns with an unparalleled opportunity to learn the audit process while gaining visibility among the firm's senior leadership. 

Upon successful completion of the Summer Internship, interns may be offered an opportunity to join the Internal Audit Early Career Development Program after graduation.

The program is a dynamic 3-year experience which equips participants for a Senior Auditor role.

Preferred Areas of Study: Accounting or Finance

Desired Skills: Exceptional quantitative skills, including the ability to analyze data sets and apply financial/analytical theories. Ability to identify risks and controls and recommend solutions to mitigate gaps as necessary.  Also have a strong desire to work as a team player, are detail oriented, self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills. 

Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year school or university, 3.0 GPA.
