Summer Internship Program Details

Program Overview

The Relationship Management and Credit Products track of the Corporate & Institutional Banking (C&IB) Summer Internship Program enables interns to explore growing and managing customer relationships in a variety of business segments, including: 

  • Commercial Banking – Organizations generating annual revenue of $5-$50MM
  • Middle Market - Organizations generating annual revenue of $50-$1B 
  • Large Corporate - Organizations generating annual revenue of $1B+
  • Public Finance - Serves municipalities, higher education and large not-for-profits 
  • Healthcare – Serves healthcare providers and payers
  • Diversified Industries Group - Serves Metals, Oil & Gas and other Energy sectors
  • Equipment Finance - All corporate leasing activities with niche business segments, including Vendor Finance, IT, Corporate Aviation, Canada, & Energy 

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Day to day work includes task-oriented executional items along with support in longer term strategic projects.  Work flow will vary from week to week based on client and business need. 

Interns must be able to prioritize assignments to meet deadlines and be flexible to adapt as urgent needs arise.

All Interns will serve as a member of the deal team, providing support to PNC’s Relationship Managers and Underwriters as they interact with PNC’s corporate clients.

Various Locations Available:

Regional PNC locations throughout the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast regions

Preferred Areas of Study: Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Mathematics

Desired Skills: Highly motivated, results-driven, exceptional quantitative skills including the abilities to analyze data sets and apply financial and analytical theories. Competitive spirit yet the ability to work well on a team. Impressive written and verbal communication skills, robust work ethic, with strong attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements: Undergraduate student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year school or university, 3.2 GPA, access to reliable transportation preferred.
