As part of our efforts to help drive community and economic development, we work with many small and diverse-owned businesses, including those that are 51% owned, operated and controlled by minorities, women, veterans, people with disabilities, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. We want to ensure that these businesses have an opportunity to sell us products and services, as they help us meet our needs and increase our competitiveness. In 2018, we spent approximately $368 million with small and diverse-owned businesses.
