PNC Grow Up Great

PNC recognizes that learning in a child's early years is essential for their long-term success. Through Grow Up Great, a $350 million, multi-year, bilingual initiative that began in 2004, PNC provides the leadership, advocacy, funding, tools, and volunteers to help educate parents, caregivers, and communities on how to prepare young children for success in school and life. To date, the program has served more than 2 million children.

Grow Up Great initiatives strengthen programming at early education centers serving at-risk children by providing professional development for teachers, enhancing children’s classroom experience and further engaging parents in their children’s learning. These efforts are supported by strong, long-term cross-sector collaborations with national and local organizations, including Sesame Workshop, the Fred Rogers Company, and National Head Start Association, as well as a multi-disciplinary Advisory Council of highly respected early education experts.

In support of the initiative, PNC leverages the core capacity of its executives to advocate for early childhood education at various government levels and in the business community. In addition, PNC employees, who have a history of volunteering in the community, lend their time and energy. Together, PNC and its partners advance Grow Up Great’s impact and adapt programming and investments to address emerging educational issues.
