His ability to identify solutions for clients and coordinate the technical disciplines necessary to implement sophisticated financing strategies have led to many first-of-their-kind as well as market based transactions.
Jenkins focuses on financing large fixed assets such as renewable energy and traditional electric generation, transmission and distribution projects, manufacturing facilities, real property, aircraft, rolling stock, vessels, oil & gas assets and all types of equipment. In addition, Jenkins has experience in arranging film and other state tax credits, media financing, global deployment vendor programs, like kind exchange structures and other structured private equity and debt placements. .
He has represented a broad mix of clients including investors breaking into new markets or issuers and borrowers on raising financing in various specialized structured transactions. For example in the energy sector, clients have included utilities, developers, EPC contractors and institutional investors across a variety of technologies including solar, geothermal, wind and fuel cells as well as conventional fossil generation and distribution assets.
Prior to joining PNC, Jenkins founded and managed the boutique advisory firm GSF Advisors. Prior to this, Jenkins was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ structured finance group, which sold itself to Dexia Bank. With each of these businesses, Jenkins managed domestic advisory and arranging practices. Jenkins received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Colby College, Waterville, Maine. He is a registered General Securities Representative and Principal with FINRA and SIPC (Series 7, 63 and 24).
