PINACLE® Security

PNC has implemented a comprehensive suite of security controls to address the increasing volume and sophistication of online banking cyber-threats. PNC's secured data centers utilize a multi-layer defense that includes network firewalls, intrusion detection and system monitoring.

PINACLE®, PNC's corporate online banking portal, provides an array of optional and mandatory security controls including secondary approval processes, and one time passcode (OTP) requirements as well as additional enhanced authentication and detection processes.

In addition to the security controls we provide, there are a number of precautions you can take to safeguard your accounts and your financial information:

  • Never provide your access credentials (PINACLE Company User ID, Operator ID, Password, or Token Passcode/Serial Number) to anyone.
  • Educate employees on cyber-threats, and instruct employees never to respond to requests for their access credentials or account information. PNC will never solicit your login information or account numbers via e-mail.
