An Easy Way To Send Money  

With Zelle® and PNC, sending money is easy. With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can quickly send money to people you trust, regardless of where they bank in the U.S.[1]

Before you can use Zelle with PNC, you will need:

A PNC Virtual Wallet account or a PNC Personal Checking account.

You can use your existing PNC Virtual Wallet® or PNC Personal Checking account. If you do not have a Virtual Wallet account or a PNC Personal Checking account, apply for one here »

A PNC Online Banking
User ID.

To set up a PNC Online Banking User ID, you need to be enrolled in PNC Online Banking. If you are not enrolled in PNC Online Banking, enroll here »

A PNC mobile app installed on your Apple or Android mobile device.

Sending Money with Zelle

To send money to people you know and trust using Zelle, follow the steps below.

 

 

 

Step 1: Access Zelle from your preferred PNC mobile app.

Step 2: Enter the email address or U.S. mobile number of the recipient.

Step 3: Enter the amount you want to send.

Your recipient receives a text or email notification explaining how to complete the payment.

Enter the amount of money you want to send, then tap on REVIEW.

Tap on SEND after you complete your review of the recipient's name, email address, and/or U.S. mobile phone number.

When the transaction is complete, tap on ALL DONE.

Receiving Money with Zelle

Already Enrolled?

If you have already enrolled with Zelle, you do not need to take any further action. The money will move directly into the checking account associated with your Zelle profile, typically within minutes.

Need to Enroll?

If you are not enrolled with Zelle, simply click on the link provided in your text or email payment notification, then follow the instructions on the page to enroll and receive your payment.

NOTE: Make sure to enroll in Zelle with the same email address and/or U.S. mobile phone number you used for online banking to receive funds from the sender. You have 14 calendar days to respond to a Zelle notification. After 14 days, the payment will expire and the sender will need to resend the funds.

  1. Zelle should only be used to send or receive money with people you know and trust. Before using Zelle to send money, you should confirm the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile phone number. Neither PNC nor Zelle offers a protection program for authorized payments made with Zelle. Zelle is available to almost anyone with a bank account in the U.S. Transactions typically occur in minutes between enrolled users. If the recipient has not enrolled, the payment will expire after 14 calendar days.

  2. PNC does not charge a fee for Mobile Banking. However, third party message and data rates may apply. These include fees your wireless carrier may charge you for data usage and text messaging services. Check with your wireless carrier for details regarding your specific wireless plan and any data usage or text messaging charges that may apply. Also, a supported mobile device is needed to use the Mobile Banking App. Mobile Deposit is a feature of PNC Mobile Banking. Use of the Mobile Deposit feature requires a supported camera-equipped device and you must download a PNC mobile banking app. Eligible PNC Bank account and PNC Bank Online Banking required. Certain other restrictions apply. See the mobile banking terms and conditions in the PNC Online Banking Service Agreement.
