What You Need to Apply

For a PNC Merchant Services® Account[1,2]

To complete the PNC Merchant Services application, you will need:

  • Your business Tax Identification Number
  • Your Social Security Number
  • A valid e-mail address
  • Existing checking account number where you’d like funds deposited

You will also need the following beneficial owner information for anyone that owns 25% or more of the business.

  • Full Legal Name
  • Home Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Ownership Percentage

When a trust is a beneficial owner, you must list the trustee and provide the trustee’s information as appropriate.

PLEASE NOTE: Social Security Numbers are required for all parties in the online application.
If any party does not have a Social Security Number, the application cannot be submitted online and it will be necessary to go to a PNC branch to apply. One of the following identifying documents is needed for any party that does not have a Social Security Number:

  • Current Passport
  • Diplomatic Passport
  • Mexican Matricula
