Jeff Mills is the Co-Chief Investment Strategist for PNC Financial Services Group. In this role, Mr. Mills oversees all investment strategy related activities for the Wealth Management, Hawthorn (ultra high net worth), and Institutional Asset Management businesses. Along with being a primary author of the firm’s investment thought leadership publication, he also performs research and analytics that drive the overall investment recommendations of the firm, while also managing the firm’s asset allocation models. Prior to his current role, Mr. Mills was the Chief Investment Strategist for PNC’s ultra high net worth asset management business, Hawthorn. Prior to that, he worked for PNC Capital Markets, most recently, as a Director within the municipal bond group. In this role, he worked within the investment banking function, helping to bring client debt offerings to the public markets. Along with advising institutions about the most efficient way to access debt market funding, Mr. Mills conducted analysis relating to issuance structure, credit, and overall client debt portfolios. In 2016, Mr. Mills was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership by an Individual by the Family Wealth Report, which recognizes high achievers in the wealth management industry. He was also recognized as an honoree at the annual PNC Summit, an event which acknowledges high performers throughout the company. He is the co-founder of an early stage venture capital fund at the University of Oxford that seeds young companies run by Oxford alumni. The fund is still in operation, being run by current graduate students at the school. Mr. Mills earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Business Administration focused in Finance from the University of Oxford, and a post-MBA Master of Science focused in Investment Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
