Julia C. Wirts is an Assistant Vice President and Investment Advisor for Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth®, a business dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families with investable assets in excess of $20 million. In collaboration with Hawthorn clients and other advisors, Julia establishes investment objectives and risk parameters to develop customized Investment Policy Statements. Further, Julia constructs and actively manages clients’ portfolios. Julia works closely with Hawthorn Relationship Strategists, Wealth Strategists, Fiduciary Advisors, and other advisors to deliver the Hawthorn integrated wealth management experience to a limited number of families and individuals.
Prior to joining Hawthorn, Julia worked for a privately held institutional investment management firm. Julia supported a buy-side sector analyst in a qualitative research role, worked on quarterly client updates analyzing the performance, attribution, and current events for the international equity markets, and reviewed portfolio performance.
Julia is an active member of The Acorn Club, The National Society of Colonial Dames of America, and the Woodmere Art Museum in Chestnut Hill, PA. As the Investment Chair of The Acorn Club, Julia oversees the Investment Portfolio of the Club, sits on the Board of Government, and serves on the Investment and Finance Committees.
Julia is a member of the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society of Philadelphia.
Julia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Trinity College in Connecticut, and her Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. Julia obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
