Peter Ferrise, the Investment Director for PNC Retirement Solutions, is responsible for leading the Advisory Services offering for defined-contribution plans. In his role, Peter is actively involved with the rollout and continued delivery of fiduciary investment services for existing and new clients. In addition, as an investment thought leader he heads the group’s investment insight and communications with clients, the media, and industry leaders.
Prior to assuming his current position, Peter served as a Senior Investment Advisor with Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth® working with clients and other advisors to establish investment objectives and risk parameters, as well as to construct and actively manage client portfolios. He started with PNC in 1993 and spent seventeen years with the Institutional Investments Group, now Institutional Asset Management. During his previous tenure with IAM, Peter served as the Director of Portfolio Management, leading a group with total AUM of $5 billion. He also served as a Senior Portfolio Manager managing Defined Benefit Pension Plan and Charitable and Endowment investment portfolios. Prior to joining PNC, Peter served as an Investment Trust Advisor at J.P. Morgan Chase.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Kent State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Steubenville. A Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder, he is a current member and past president of the CFA Society of Pittsburgh. He recently served on the Board of Life’s Work of Western Pennsylvania and has served for many years as a part-time finance instructor at several local universities.
