In June, PNC announced the completion of its acquisition of BBVA USA Bancshares, Inc., making PNC the fifth largest U.S. commercial banking organization in the nation. Growth in assets and geography brings PNC’s established regional leadership model to the center of PNC’s national expansion strategy, introducing PNC’s Main Street bank approach to new customers and communities across the country.

In addition to setting their sights on expansion, regional presidents and market executives will be instrumental in supporting PNC’s Community Development Banking teams to carry out a recently announced Community Benefits Plan. This four-year plan was developed in support of its communities, and in connection with its acquisition of BBVA USA, to provide $88 billion in loans, investments and other financial support to create economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income (LMI) individuals and communities, people and communities of color, and other underserved individuals and communities in all of PNC’s markets across its now-expanded national footprint.

“We are thrilled that PNC’s market leadership teams will be able to deliver our Main Street model to the expanded communities we now serve,” said Louis R. Cestello, executive vice president and head of PNC’s Regional Markets. “Our local delivery of products, services and expertise guides everything we do to support our customers and the community.”
