inkWELL Press Productivity Company Ashville, NC
When I first began talking with PNC, I was impressed that they are so dedicated to helping women build successful businesses that they train and certify bankers as Women’s Business Advocates. Now that I have my own PNC banking team, I’m reaping the rewards of that.
Do More, Be More, Achieve More — NO MORE!
If there’s one thing most women agree they need, it’s more time. If only we had another hour in the day to finish that project. If only we could spend more time with our families. If only we could achieve every goal we set for ourselves. If only.
Tonya Dalton sees things differently. It’s not about pushing ourselves to the max every minute of every day, she says; it’s about prioritizing and then developing our own unique productivity systems. “Women can live our best guilt-free, abundant lives by discovering our purpose, clarifying our priorities and simplifying our lives to achieve harmony,” she says. “Changing our perspectives can lead to greater success at work and at home.”
Tonya offers the structure and strategy to do just that through her business, inkWELL Press Productivity Company, which offers tools, training, education and coaching. One of few productivity experts focused on challenges women face (“We are the CEOs of our businesses and our homes,” she says), Tonya details her liveWELL Method in her new book, “The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less.” She also shares productivity tips — how to spend less time on email and take control of your calendar, for example — through her podcast, Productivity Paradox, and her YouTube channel, Tonya TV.
A Business Built on the liveWELL Philosophy
Tonya began her career as a fourth-grade teacher and school technology integration specialist. When she and her husband, John, started their family, she cut her work schedule to one day a week to become a stay-at-home mom. John felt he was missing too many important moments with their children due to extensive business travel, so Tonya mapped out a plan for him to join the heirloom-jewelry business she had created as a side gig.
Overwhelmed isn’t having too much to do; it’s
not knowing where to start.
Three years later, Tonya’s priorities inspired her to develop a new business plan — for inkWELL Press. “I wanted to empower professional women, share my penchant for productivity and teach again,” she says. “Within 18 months of launching the business with John and one employee, sales of our paper-based planner systems hit the million-dollar mark.” Thanks in part to an alliance with a global partner, inkWELL continued growing, enabling Tonya to turn her focus to the educational aspects of the business: seminars, coaching programs, podcasts, YouTube videos and her book.
“I hope to spur a movement in which women let go of that ‘busy’ badge and understand that we don’t have to cram a thousand things into every day to be successful,” she says.
Tonya’s focus on women in business is a priority shared by her bank, PNC. “When I first began talking with PNC, I was impressed that they are so dedicated to helping women build successful businesses that they train and certify bankers as Women’s Business Advocates,” says Tonya. “Now that I have my own PNC banking team, I’m reaping the rewards of that. It feels good having a team of experts working alongside my accountant and me. They are cheerleaders with my best interests at heart.”
