New Benefit for Business Travelers
Welcome to the Spring edition of Payment Solutions News. As your Treasury Management resource, we're always looking for new and innovative ways to support your initiatives and make doing business easier.
This month, we're excited to introduce the new PNC Visaź Corporate Card with Chip technology. Designed for business travelers, it includes all the benefits and features of our current Corporate Card... along with an embedded microchip to make purchasing easier when doing business abroad.
Chip technology has become the preferred card format across much of Europe, Asia, and, most recently, Canada. By adding a Chip to our Corporate Card, we're improving the point-of-sale experience for our cardholders as they travel the globe, while also providing additional layers of security... a key benefit for business travelers.
By proactively offering this new payment solution, PNC is leading the way for our commercial customers. We hope you find the enhanced Corporate Card useful in your business travels.

INSIGHTS FROM VISA
Chip Acceptance is on its Way to the U.S.
By 2015, nearly all point-of-sale locations in the U.S. will be equipped to accept Chip transactions. That's because, effective October 1, 2015, Visa will institute a liability shift in the U.S. for all domestic and cross-border counterfeit transactions. The new policy will assign liability for counterfeit fraud to the party that has not made the investment in Chip cards (issuers) or terminals (merchants' acquirers).
This global counterfeit liability shift is designed to encourage Chip card issuance and acceptance, effectively creating a more secure environment for transactions worldwide.
How to Replace Your Current Cards with Chip-enabled Cards
If your employees travel frequently outside of the U.S. and already carry the PNC Corporate Card, we can issue replacement Chip cards as needed. Simply contact your Account Manager today with a list of your frequent international travelers.
