"I convinced my former organization to switch to PNC back in the late-'90s because I knew the products and customer service were great. Today my own commercial and wealth management accounts are with PNC. I really believe in this bank."
Commitment to Excellence
In designing the award-winning Presque Isle Downs and Casino in Erie, Pennsylvania, Shelane Buehler worked 16-hour days, seven days a week, for two solid years--with no complaints. "I did the planning, architecture and interiors for the entire complex, which includes more than 533,000 square feet of buildings," Shelley says of Erie County's largest development project. "It was an honor and a personally gratifying experience."
Yet this was but one example of the exuberance and commitment Shelley puts behind every project she undertakes. As founder, president and CEO of Buehler & Associates, Inc., a WBE-certified firm providing architecture, interior design and planning services, Shelley is driven to take every project to new heights. "I like to work at 110% and continually reach higher," she shares. "Every time I reach a goal, I set another."
One of her goals was building her own business after working for more than a decade as a partner in another firm. She explains, "I wanted to start a business that was completely customer-focused. Our client-first philosophy at Buehler & Associates sets us apart. We take into account each client's functional needs, business needs and financial expectations. We are well-known for going out of our way, even if it means doing the impossible, to achieve our clients' goals." The proof is in Buehler & Associates, Inc.'s client base, which is composed almost entirely of repeat clients and client referrals.
A Plan for the Future
As Buehler & Associates approaches its third year in business, Shelley's five-year growth plan is right on schedule.
"We have opportunities on the horizon to do some large projects," Shelley explains. "My plan is to grow the business and offer more professionals the opportunity to build careers here."
To support the firm's growth, Shelley relies on PNC. "I convinced my former organization to switch to PNC back in the late-'90s because I knew the products and customer service were great," she explains. "Today my own commercial and wealth management accounts are with PNC. I use PNC's online banking, direct deposit and other services that make business easier, and I have the reassurance of a line of credit if I need it. On the wealth management side, my PNC team is proactive and helpful. I really believe in this bank."
