Mortgage Banking Development Program

PNC Mortgage is nationally recognized as one of the top residential mortgage originators and servicers. We have a reputation for innovative products, responsible lending practices and distinctive customer care.

You can expect to perform various functions during this 16-month program, with the goal of providing a comprehensive blend of classroom training, on the job experiences and professional networking opportunities. You'll also learn how to strengthen your presentation skills and gain solid project management experience. Graduates from the Mortgage program may be looked to for future leadership roles within our expanding mortgage division.

Candidate Snapshot

The Mortgage program may appeal to someone who wants to experience the entire loan life-cycle. From sales and operations to customer service, investor accounting and default administration, this program immerses participants in the processes that help manage each stage of the loan from a business and regulatory perspective.

Candidates should possess strong communication and analytical skills. Major areas of study may include Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or others. Participants will enter either a Production or Servicing track depending on their skills, career goals and geographic preference.

Learning & Development

The Mortgage Development Program curriculum includes:

  • Mortgage Industry Overview - This course explains the basics of mortgage production and servicing, how the roles are interrelated and how they fit within the financial system.
  • PNC Production/Servicing Training - Learn about PNC Mortgage's structure and policies, along with how we operate and help the bottom line.
  • Experience in areas such as:
    • Bankruptcy
    • Customer Service
    • Foreclosure
    • Investor Relations
    • Loan Processing
    • Loss Mitigation
    • Mortgage Sales
    • Payment Processing
    • Product Development
    • Setup and Closing
    • Underwriting

The remainder of your training will be conducted on the job, guided by your program manager, line of business managers and broader teams in the line of business.
