Operations Development Program

PNC's Operations group is known for high-performance, exceptional client focus, empowered employees and visionary leadership. Our team is comprised of Bank Operations, Consumer Lending and Commercial Services, and is responsible for building and operating quality, cost-effective processes. Operations has a goal of providing secure, accurate and timely financial processing for our clients and service partners.

This 24-month program offers training, networking opportunities, coaching, mentoring and rotations across PNC's markets. You will be immersed in the world of Operations, grow key competencies and build a strong foundation in core functions, systems, software, operational tools and organizational processes. You'll also have the opportunity to create a professional network, achieve organizational awareness and expand your leadership capabilities.

Candidate Snapshot

You might be interested in the Operations Development Program if you enjoy learning how things are connected, work well in a fast-paced environment, and take initiative to make processes more efficient and cost-effective. Major areas of study may include Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems or Industrial Engineering. Future development opportunities may exist as a Business Analyst, Project Manager or Supervisor.

Leadership & Development

The Operations Development Program curriculum includes:

  • Competency Development - Builds the capabilities necessary for success in PNC Operations.
  • Role-Specific Training - Develops skills as a Project Manager, Supervisor or Process Analyst.
  • Relationship Building - Networking opportunities structured to create immediate and future relationships.
  • Rotational Work Assignments - Specific system and functional training through four rotations, including at least one out-of-market rotation, a cross-functional project and a teambuilding experience.

The remainder of your training will be conducted on the job, guided by your program manager, line of business managers and broader teams in the lines of business.
