  • Surprise Findings from PNC's 2007 Healthcare Survey!
    PNC's second annual healthcare survey included 1000 consumers, in addition to 200 healthcare executives from healthcare provider and insurance organizations. There were several surprises. More than three-quarters of the consumers surveyed indicated that healthcare administrative costs should be less than 10 percent of the total cost of healthcare, with a substantial majority stating that they would be "highly upset" if administrative costs were as high as 30 percent. On the other hand, healthcare administrators believe that administrative costs already account for one of every three healthcare dollars.
