James P. Dunigan is executive vice president and managing executive, Investments, for PNC Wealth Management®, which is a member of The PNC Financial Services Group. In this role, Dunigan is responsible for the investment strategy, equity research, municipal investment, investment services and due diligence groups. He is also responsible for the development and execution of investment policies, strategies and tactics for wealth management clients. His focus is on delivering the best investment thinking and advice by ensuring a consistent portfolio management process and best of class investment products. In addition, he is responsible for the investment function of the market chief investment officers.
Dunigan joined Provident National Bank, now PNC, in December 1987 as a portfolio manager in the Trust Division responsible for personal trust and investment advisory accounts. Prior to assuming his current position, Dunigan served as director of Portfolio Management for the corporation, and prior to that served as the chief investment officer and managing director of Investment Advisory and Trust at PNC Advisors in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Before joining PNC, he served as an account executive with Prudential Bache Securities from 1984 to 1987.
Dunigan chairs the Investment Policy Committee and is a member of the Management Investment and Fiduciary Committee and Financial Analysts Federation. He is on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Economy League, Eastern Division and a Trustee of the Malvern Preparatory School. He is a past board member of Chester County Community Foundation and past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Villanova Alumni Association. He is also a member of the Union League of Philadelphia.
He received a degree in civil engineering in 1974 from Villanova University and had pursued postgraduate work in finance at Drexel University.
