Steve Pappaterra is Managing Director of Wealth Planning for PNC Wealth Management. He has corporate-wide responsibility for more than 60 specialists in estate and financial planning, as well as the overall delivery of wealth planning advice. A frequent author and lecturer, he brings more than 20 years of experience to the trust and wealth planning field.

Prior to joining PNC in 1995 as Managing Director of Wealth Planning, Pappaterra practiced law in the Trusts and Estates Department of the New Jersey Law Firm of Archer & Greiner. He is a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Steve is also a member of the National Speakers Association, the nation's largest organization of professional speakers.

From 1993-1998, Steve served as an Assistant Professor of Business Law at Mercer County College, during which time he participated in a week-long symposium at Harvard University on learning theory and practice, with noted author and psychologist, Howard Gardner. For many years, Pappaterra served on the faculty of the Central Atlantic School of Trust at Bucknell University. He has also lectured on sophisticated estate planning techniques for the Cannon Trust School at Pepperdine University.

In addition to conducting numerous continuing education credit seminars for attorneys and accountants, he has been quoted in US News & World Report, USA Today, Forbes.com, Fortune and Town & Country, among others, and has co-authored 13 articles for professional journals, including the Journal of Estate Planning, Practical Estate Planning, and the New Jersey Law Journal.

Pappaterra earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers-Camden School of Law, where he was a Dean's Scholar and served as a teaching assistant for legal research and moot court. Following a three-year hiatus from college, during which time he studied drums, xylophone, and tympani in New York, he earned his bachelor of arts in history from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.

A Shakespeare enthusiast, he once memorized Romeo and Juliet and is on the Board of the Philadelphia Shakespeare Theater. Steve continues to play baseball, read extensively, and work as a drummer and percussionist with big bands and in musical theater.
