The Company: High Profile Personal Care

Formed from the acquisition of Godrej Consumer Brands by JZ International (JZI), Karium is a unique portfolio of well-known Personal Care Products.

These include PRO:VOKE, an expert hair colour enhancement and care brand; Soft & Gentle, a fragrance led anti-perspirant deodorant and care brand; and Cuticura, an anti-bacterial hand hygiene and medicated skin care brand.

The Deal: Steel City Solution

PNC provided a senior secured facility comprising of an Accounts Receivable and Inventory revolver and a Term loan. PNC’s solution was enhanced by utilising its own Junior Secured lending fund, Steel City Capital Funding, within the debt structure.

The Achievement: Grow and Build

Alongside Karium’s strong management team, JZI intends to continue to grow the business organically, as well as through a focused buy-and-build strategy across the UK and Europe.
