Mark Fischer is currently a managing director in PNC Capital Markets LLC, and senior vice president of PNC Bank N.A. In his role as head of balance sheet strategies and analytics for PNC he consults banks of all sizes on hedging, asset sales/acquisitions and more broadly balance sheet construction. He joined PNC in 2004 as an intern splitting time between Debt Capital Markets and M&A Advisory. In 2005, Mark joined the newly created Financial Institutions Group and was charged with developing an asset liability framework and infrastructure to serve depository clients. In 2008, he transitioned to fixed income sales and held that role until becoming a dedicated relationship manager in 2011. In that role he served as a capital markets generalist covering institutions in the Midwest, West, Southwest and Pacific Northwest. In 2019, Mark assumed the role of regional manager with a team of four FIG bankers covering the Western and Southwestern markets.
Mark is currently an executive board member of the Texas A&M School of Commercial Banking and began his career at PNC while earning his MBA at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon. Prior to that, Mark played professional football for the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos. Drafted in the fifth round, he started 20 games at center and guard between 1998 and 2002. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, FINRA Series 7, 63, 79 and 24 licenses and resides in Indianapolis, Indiana.
