In 2018, Greg Jordan, executive vice president, general counsel and Chief Administrative Officer for PNC, had the privilege of interviewing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before an audience comprised of members and sponsors of the Pro Bono Institute. Based in Washington, D.C., the nonprofit Pro Bono Institute works with the U.S. legal community to provide increased access to justice for poor, disadvantaged and other individuals and groups otherwise unable to secure legal assistance for critical problems. Jordan and PNC received the Pro Bono Institute’s Laurie D. Zelon Award in 2018 for their commitment to pro bono legal services. Today, more than half of PNC’s legal associates volunteer their expertise in support of small businesses, veterans, refugee children, the transgender community, wrongly convicted individuals and other causes important to PNC.
