As we wrap-up Financial Literacy Month, we’re reflecting on what it takes to support financial education not just in April– but year-round. In partnership with national nonprofit Financial Health Network, PNC and the YWCA Greater Atlanta are bringing financial empowerment to life with the Center for Financial Education (CFE) community partner program.

Since 2023, PNC has partnered with more than 40 community organizations to host over 600 in-person financial education workshops, reaching approximately 7,000 individuals. These sessions help people build confidence, navigate credit, manage debt, and take steps to build lasting financial stability. The mission: create equitable access through financial education that meets people where they are.

At the heart of lasting change is community collaboration—and the CFE Community Partner Program reflects what’s possible when organizations come together to inspire economic mobility. Through collaboration with the Financial Health Network and local organizations like the YWCA of Atlanta, CFE is advancing a powerful, relationship‑centered approach to strengthen individuals, families, and entire communities.

Collaboration and partnership look like working with nonprofit organizations that are fully invested in the community. With the YWCA, we will provide a series of financial empowerment program. We bring our talent, we bring our expertise. We are there to stand by them and help them on their journey. —Tracee Smith, Community Development Officer, PNC Community Development Banking

In structured CFE workshops, YWCA staff integrate CFE tools into programs that serve women, children, and families facing complex challenges—such as housing instability or economic insecurity. Together, CFE, Financial Health Network and the YWCA are modeling what’s possible when purpose, perseverance and partnership intersect.

By helping individuals become financially literate, we’re helping them become more confident in making informed financial decisions, which contributes to their overall quality of life. It’s part of our larger focus on social impact and helping our communities.-- Edith Campos, Program Manager, PNC Community Development Banking
