Ketsia Saint-Armand [00:00:05] Thanks for joining me today to learn about three ways that you can put your impact investing goals into action. Impact investing is at an inflection point, and the tools for both investing and evaluation are now at a new state of maturity. We recently had a chance to attend the sold-out Mission Investors conference and wanted to share our key takeaways with you. Now is the time to begin thinking about your impact investing goals.

Ketsia Saint-Armand [00:00:31] To get started, one of the first things you can do is really clarify and memorialize your impact investing goals. You're going to want to determine what exactly it is that you want to achieve as an impact investor. Some great places to start are with your organization values, mission statement, and your vision statement. They'll contain a lot of information on what your organization values overall and give you some ideas on how you might express that in an impact investing program.

Ketsia Saint-Armand [00:01:01] The second thing that you're going to want to do is identify partners who can support your impact investing journey. So much of this field is really built on case studies, conferences, networks, and the connections that occur between organizations that are looking to have an impact together. Find partners who have done the same thing that you're looking to do and get plugged into a network for support to enhance your learning.

Ketsia Saint-Armand [00:01:25] And then thirdly, you're going to want to create documents for your impact Investing program. Creating and maintaining your governance documents is one of the most important responsibilities, especially at the board level, because it allows your impact investing program to follow the original intent throughout the life of the investments.

Ketsia Saint-Armand [00:01:44] Impact investing overall is a journey. Your first conversation is probably not where you're going to end, and it's important and common to revisit the conversation over multiple years. We're here to help you with all three of those steps and look forward to hearing from you as you get started on your impact investing journey.
