We look at a variety of factors, including, among other things, your credit history, income and any existing PNC relationship, to determine whether you qualify for at least the minimum credit line associated with the credit card product for which you are applying. If we decline your application, we will provide you with the reasons for the decline.

To be eligible for bonus offers, you must not have opened the same credit card product and received a bonus in connection with account opening within the last 24 months. For example, if you opened a PNC Cash Rewards credit card on January 15, 2026, and subsequently received a bonus in connection with account opening, then you are ineligible for an account opening bonus on any other PNC Cash Rewards credit card opened before January 15, 2028, subject to other terms and conditions.

The $8,000 annual cap resets each year on your anniversary date, not at the beginning of each calendar year. Your anniversary date is the date your account is enrolled in the PNC Cash Rewards Program, and the same month/day each year thereafter. For example, if your account was enrolled in the program on June 17, 2023, your anniversary date in 2024 is June 17, 2024.

Some purchases of groceries, gas or food may only qualify for 1% cash back. That is because the cash back earned on a purchase is determined by the merchant category code assigned to a merchant. The merchant category code is based on the merchant’s type of business and is assigned by the merchant’s credit card processor. PNC Bank does not assign merchant category codes. Upon closure of your Account either by you or us, any Points and/or Cash Back that you have earned but not redeemed is immediately and automatically forfeited.

The PNC Spend Wise credit card comes with our Purchase APR Reduction Program. You can earn a 2-percentage point reduction to your standard purchase APR by meeting each of the following requirements during your review period: make at least $3,000 in posted net purchases, and make at least the minimum payment due by each due date. Once your standard purchase margin is reduced to 8.74%, we will no longer review your account for a purchase APR reduction.

"Net purchases” means purchases minus merchant credits and plus or minus appropriate purchase adjustments posted to a client’s account. Net purchases does not include cash advances or balance transfers, nor does it include, among other things, interest or fees assessed to your Account. A “margin” is an interest rate we add to the prime rate to calculate a variable APR. The “standard purchase margin” is the margin that is added to the prime rate to calculate your standard variable purchase APR.

Each PNC Spend Wise account is reviewed for purchase APR reduction eligibility every review period. The first review period for a PNC Spend Wise credit card account starts with the date of account opening and runs through the last day of the 12th billing cycle following account opening.
