Laura L. Long

Laura L. Long is general counsel of The PNC Financial Services Group overseeing all legal functions for the corporation, including PNC’s relationship with the government, including its regulatory affairs, regulatory policy and government affairs operations, and the PNC’s Corporate Ethics Office.​​

Prior to being named to her role in September 2024, Long served as deputy general counsel of mergers and acquisitions. In this role, Long was responsible for providing legal advice to the mergers and acquisitions, private equity and asset and liability management groups. In addition, she also provided support to PNC’s corporate governance, SEC reporting, resolution planning, contracts and realty services teams.​

Long joined PNC in 2006 and assumed her current role in 2013.  Prior to PNC, Long had been a corporate associate at the Los Angeles offices of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and Bingham McCutchen.  At the law firm, her focus was on mergers and acquisitions, private equity fund formation and investments, securities laws and corporate governance.​

Long is a member of the board of directors and executive committee of Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh. She is also a member of the bar of the State of California.​

Long earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. (Political Science) from Illinois State University (summa cum laude).
