Adam Mackey

PNC Fixed Income


Adam is the managing director of the Fixed Income group. He supervises credit and quantitative research, portfolio management and trading and municipal client relations. Adam is also responsible for establishing discretionary fixed income strategy and serves as a senior portfolio manager, overseeing trading and strategy implementation in team managed fixed income accounts.


Prior to assuming his current position, Adam was a co-director of portfolio management and trading with PNC Capital Advisors. Before joining PNC in 2001, Adam was a fixed income trader at the Vanguard Group, where he focused on municipal bonds and derivatives.

Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Kutztown University and with a Master of Business Administration in finance from St. Joseph University. He is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia, the National Association for Business Economics, and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA). Adam is also on the Municipal Securities Advisory Committee and has previously served on the Money Market Committee of the Investment Company Institute. He has been a municipal market resource for various news outlets and has been quoted in Bloomberg News, Reuters, Debtwire, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune and The Bond Buyer.
