Sean Kerins, CFA

Head of Portfolio Strategy


Sean is the managing director and the head of Portfolio Strategy for PNC's Asset Management Group. In this role, he leads the team that manages model portfolios and provides guidance on implementing PNC’s recommended asset allocations for PNC Private Bank®, PNC Private Bank Hawthorn® and PNC Institutional Asset Management®.


Prior to joining PNC in 2013, Sean was an investment analyst in the Manager Search and Oversight Group at Vanguard, where he performed analysis of Vanguard’s external equity and fixed income subadvisors. Before joining Vanguard, he was an analyst at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management (NCRAM), a boutique investment management firm that specializes in the below investment grade credit market. At NCRAM, he focused on the analysis of structured products, primarily collateralized loan obligations. Prior to joining NCRAM, Sean was a senior associate in the Structured Finance Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in computer information systems from James Madison University. Sean holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Philadelphia.
