PNC Low Cash Mode® helps you avoid overdraft fees

Intelligent Alerts

Intelligent Alerts keep you informed. Get notified when Low Cash Mode is active, when transactions need your attention, and how much Extra Time you have left. You can choose to receive alerts by email, text or push and set your preferred balance threshold.[7]

Extra Time

Extra Time helps you avoid overdraft fees. You’ll have at least 24 hours to bring your available Spend account balance[8] to at least $0 before overdraft fees are charged. The Extra Time clock shows at least how much time remains, and you won’t be charged overdraft item fees if you bring your balance to $0 before time runs out.

Payment Control

Payment Control puts you in charge of eligible transactions. You can choose to pay or return certain individual checks, and payments made using your routing and checking account numbers (ACH transactions), when your balance is negative[9]. We’ll let you know which ones you can review and decide to pay or return. You’ll see the projected status of each and can make changes as needed. This may help reduce how far your account goes negative in an overdraft situation.
