If you’re an Android user, it’s easy to get started. Simply enroll your PNC Visa consumer or business credit and debit cards or SmartAccess card in PNC Pay using the PNC Mobile app.

What PNC Visa Cards are eligible for PNC Pay?
PNC customers can enroll PNC consumer and small business credit and debit cards and SmartAccess cards, in PNC Pay. There is no limit to how many cards you can add to PNC Pay.[2]
Can I use non-PNC credit or debit cards with PNC Pay?
Cards issued by other financial institutions, PNC corporate cards, and PNC MasterCard® credit cards are not eligible for PNC Pay at this time. However, PNC Pay is available for PNC Visa consumer and small business debit and credit cards, as well as SmartAccess cards.
What mobile devices are eligible for PNC Pay?
PNC Pay is a feature available with the newest version of the PNC Mobile app, accessible from the Google Play™ store. Virtually any Android device that is enabled to make contactless payments and is running Android OS 5.0 or greater will be eligible to use PNC Pay.
Can I use PNC Pay on my iOS device?
You can initiate a payment from the PNC Mobile app with your PNC consumer and small business debit, credit and SmartAccess cards using Apple Pay® on an eligible iPhone. Learn more about Apple Pay and eligible devices.
Where can I download PNC Pay?
PNC Pay is only available via the PNC Mobile app.
How do I add my PNC card to PNC Pay?
PNC customers using an eligible mobile device will use the PNC Mobile app to add and manage their cards enrolled in PNC Pay. To add cards to PNC Pay, open the PNC Mobile app, tap on the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, and select the 'Cards'open listed button in the navigation menu. Select the eligible PNC card you wish to enroll, choose a default card, and make PNC Pay the default mobile wallet on your mobile device with just a few taps. Once enrolled for PNC Pay, your PNC cards will be ready to use at your favorite merchants that accept contactless payments. You can visit the Cards area of the PNC Mobile app at any time to manage your eligible PNC credit, debit or SmartAccess cards, or view recent PNC Pay transactions.
How do I use PNC Pay?
PNC Pay can be used to make in-store payments at most merchants equipped with NFC (Near-Field Communication) contactless payment terminals.Once set as the default device wallet, simply wake your mobile device and hold it near the contactless payment terminal. You’ll be prompted to authenticate using your device’s dot pattern, passcode, or biometric identifier and an on-screen message will confirm the payment was sent to the terminal.
How will PNC Pay keep my information protected?
PNC Pay is a feature of the PNC Mobile app and is protected by the same security and privacy that already protects your PNC card and account information. When you add your card to PNC Pay a unique number is assigned to your card and associated with your device. When making a purchase this unique number is provided rather than the number on your plastic card. This means your actual credit, debit or prepaid card number is never shared with merchants when you shop.
Where can I use PNC Pay?
PNC Pay can be used to make in-store payments at most merchants equipped with NFC (Near-Field Communication) contactless payment terminals.
Will I continue to earn rewards or points with my PNC debit or credit card using PNC Pay?
If you are in a rewards program, you will continue to earn rewards or points for eligible purchases made using your physical card and through your card(s) enrolled in PNC Pay.
What if I need to return an item I purchased using PNC Pay?
The return process will vary by merchant. You may need to present a receipt from the merchant to return the item. To complete the return, you may be asked to hold your PNC Pay enabled device over the contactless payment terminal and wait for a confirmation message on the payment terminal to let you know the return has been processed. You must use the same PNC Pay-enabled mobile device you used to purchase the item to process the return.
Can I use PNC Pay on my smart watch?
PNC Pay is not available on smart watches or wearable devices at this time.
Can I use a card other than my default card to make a purchase using PNC Pay?
To make a payment with PNC Pay using a card other than your default card, simply open the PNC Mobile app, navigate to the Cards area, and set your desired card as the default for PNC Pay by tapping the 'Set as PNC Pay Default' button. This will make the selected card the new default card that PNC Pay will use when making contactless payments.
What should I do when I receive a replacement card?
When a PNC credit, debit or SmartAccess card enrolled in PNC Pay expires or is replaced due to loss, theft, fraud or chip card upgrade, you will need to re-enroll the card in PNC Pay through the PNC Mobile app.
What happens if I replace, update or lose my mobile device?
If you replace your mobile device, your PNC debit, credit, and SmartAccess card(s) enrolled in PNC Pay will not be automatically transferred to the new device. You will need to set up PNC Pay again and add your cards to the new device from within the PNC Mobile app.
If your PNC Pay device is ever lost or stolen, you must call the PNC Care Center to remotely suspend or delete your PNC cards from PNC Pay. You can also delete your cards from PNC Pay manually by clearing the PNC Mobile app data using the Application Manager on your Android mobile device. Deleting your PNC cards from PNC Pay will not affect your plastic cards. If you delete your PNC cards from PNC Pay, you can still use your plastic cards to make purchases like normal by swiping them or dipping the EMV chip at a payment terminal.
Why does my card image in PNC Pay look different from my physical card?
Your card image in PNC Pay is a digital representation of your physical PNC credit, debit or SmartAccess card. The image you see in PNC Pay may not be an exact copy of your physical PNC card.
How do I un-enroll a card from PNC Pay?
You can un-enroll cards by calling PNC. PNC Visa consumer and small business credit and debit card customers should call 1-855-406-3164 to remove or suspend their PNC cards from PNC Pay, and SmartAccess customers should call 1-866-304-2818 to remove or suspend their PNC cards. You can also remove cards from PNC Pay at any time by using the 'clear data' option for the PNC Mobile app in the Application Manager on your Android mobile device.
Can I add my PNC credit and debit cards to any mobile wallet other than PNC Pay?
You can manage your PNC cards enrolled in other mobile wallets right from the Cards area of the PNC Mobile app. If you are using an Android or Samsung® device, you can enroll your PNC cards in Google Pay® by tapping on the 'Settings' icon below the card you wish to enroll and selecting 'Add to Google Pay' option.
PNC does not charge a fee for Mobile Banking. However, third party message and data rates may apply. These include fees your wireless carrier may charge you for data usage and text messaging services. Check with your wireless carrier for details regarding your specific wireless plan and any data usage or text messaging charges that may apply. Also, a supported mobile device is needed to use the Mobile Banking App. Mobile Deposit is a feature of PNC Mobile Banking. Use of the Mobile Deposit feature requires a supported camera-equipped device and you must download a PNC mobile banking app. Eligible PNC Bank account and PNC Bank Online Banking required. Certain other restrictions apply. See the mobile banking terms and conditions in the PNC Online Banking Service Agreement.
Eligible Android devices must have an NFC antenna to be eligible. Please refer to the list of eligible devices on the Google Pay page.
PNC MasterCard® and commercial credit cards are not eligible at this time.
