Coralus (formerly SheEO) is a global nonprofit that provides no-interest loans and a supportive community to women and nonbinary entrepreneurs working on one or more of the . PNC has partnered with Coralus to address women’s unequal access to credit, one of the key drivers of the economic gender gap that inspired PNC’s Project 257®: Accelerating Women’s Financial Equality. According to the World Economic Forum’s 2020 Global Gender Gap Report, it would take 257 years for women to catch up to men economically unless the pace of progress accelerates. In the 2023 report, the gap narrowed to 169 years. But it’s still too long to wait.

Here’s How the Coralus Community Works
Activators crowdfund a no-interest loan pool.
The loan pool funds women and nonbinary entrepreneurs that are working to resolve thethrough a 0% interest loan to their business.
Repayment of these loans over a 5-year period builds a Perpetual Fund to reinvest in future businesses.

Companies that Activators select to receive no-interest financing. Coralus Activators and partners have generated nearly $14 million to fund 140+ Ventures in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and New Zealand. Funds stay in the country in which they are generated. 2. Apply for a Gifted Activation
- Through the PNC Bank + Coralus Collective, a cohort of women entrepreneurs and financial advisors collaborating for growth and success, PNC will cover the cost for 100 entrepreneurs to join the Coralus community as Activators for one year. You’ll enjoy all of the benefits of being a Coralus Activator, plus Collective participants receive invitations to virtual monthly workshops and are paired with a local PNC-Certified Women’s Business Advocate to serve as a sounding board. Applications are accepted in September and October.
- Who Can Apply?
U.S.-based entrepreneurs who identify as women or nonbinary, own a minimum of 51% of an up-and-running business, have annual revenues up to $5 million and a strong desire to grow their company.

3. Apply to Receive a No-Interest Loan
If your business is majority-owned and run by a woman or nonbinary individual (or is a woman-led nonprofit), and it generates between $50,000 and $2 million, and is working on one or more of the 17 U.N. Sustainable Development Goals, you may qualify for a no-interest loan from Coralus.* It starts with a simple application — fewer than 10 questions — and then the Coralus community of Activators decides which companies excite them. In addition to a loan, selected Ventures receive a year of one-on-one coaching plus the support of a peer network and global Activator community. Applications typically open in September for a three-week period.
