About Virtual Wallet

Virtual Wallet features typically work together to provide a joint ownership view of upcoming scheduled transactions and features to all owners on the account, so that each owner can view the same account balances, upcoming scheduled transactions, and other relevant account information. 

As of 1/31/25, we began the process of enhancing our Online Banking experience. We want to share some important information with you about Virtual Wallet accounts.


What You Need To Know

We are working to ensure that all PNC customers enjoy the new Online Banking experience as quickly as possible. However, until all owners of a Virtual Wallet account are seeing the new Online Banking experience, a few of the Virtual Wallet tools may not synchronize information for all owners to view. This applies only to the information you may see in the tools, not to the functionality of your account, and may happen when one owner takes any of the following actions:

If one owner takes any of the
following actions:

  • Makes a payment using PNC Bill Pay.
  • Adds a pre-authorized payment or check they have written to the Calendar.
  • Schedules a future-dated PNC Transfer (one-time or recurring).
  • Creates a Savings Rule to transfer money from the Spend account automatically.
  • Adds, modifies, or deletes a Savings Goal.
  • Uses the Make a Payment feature to pay a PNC Credit Card.

Then, other owner(s) may not see the transactions reflected in their
Virtual Wallet digital tools:

  • Free Balance
  • Scheduled Out
  • Calendar
  • Goals
  • Savings Rules

What You Can Do

Until all Virtual Wallet owners are seeing the same experience, we recommend a few things:

  • Refer to the Available Balance when making financial decisions. This information will be identical for all owners.
  • Let your owner(s) know if you are going to take any of the actions noted above so they can plan accordingly when they use the Virtual Wallet tools.
  • Check in with the other owner(s) to see when they are notified of the date on which they will see the new Online Banking experience. On that date, the information in the Virtual Wallet tools will synchronize.
