To request a card: Visit your local branch | Call 1-888-PNCBANK | Sign on to Online Banking
If you're an existing PNC debit cardholder, sign on to Online Banking to upgrade to an affinity card. To request a card, visit the "Debit/ATM Card Services" section either in "Account Services" on the "My Accounts Summary" page or within the "Customer Service" tab. Click the image of your school card and click “next” at the bottom of the screen. Read the disclosures and click submit. Your card will arrive in 3-5 business days.
Link your ID to your PNC Bank account and you can use your ID to get cash at ATMs. Linking is free, and you get the convenience of carrying one card around campus.
Students and employees will have the option to link their ID to their PNC accounts. All students and faculty and staff will receive a newly-designed ID card capable of linking to PNC accounts. Students, faculty and staff are not required to link their ID cards to PNC accounts. The ID Card will maintain all existing or current functionality.
If a linked ID card is misplaced or stolen, students and employees should immediately contact the school to deactivate the ID Card.
In addition, to remove any links to your PNC Bank accounts:
Your request will be processed immediately; however, the change will not be reflected on Online Banking until the next business day.
If you do not have immediate access to the Internet, call 877-PNC-1000 as soon as you realize that your ID Card is lost and ask the PNC Bank representative to remove all existing links to your PNC Bank accounts. Or you may visit a nearby PNC branch and speak with a representative.
Helpful Tip: Keep this number in a safe place with you or in your phone in case of emergency.
Students and employees need to select a PIN because ID Cards linked to PNC accounts have the added safety of PIN-based security, requiring the user to enter their private PIN every time they wish to access an ATM or make a purchase.
The linked ID Card can then be used at ATMs and to make PIN-based purchases at retail locations on the STAR® and PLUS® networks.
Helpful Tip: As a safety measure, you should never share or write down your PIN.
Students and employees can link their ID Card to their PNC accounts by following these simple steps:
If you prefer you can also link your ID Card in person by visiting one of the nearby PNC Bank branches or by calling PNC Bank at 877-PNC-1000.

In order to avoid overdraft fees, you must bring the available balance in your account to at least $0 before your Extra Time expires. If you make a deposit, the time it takes for your deposit to be reflected in your available balance and for those funds to become available to you will vary based on the deposit type and time. Depending on your deposit type or your deposit time, your deposit may not be available before your Extra Time period expires, and you may incur overdraft fees. See your Funds Availability policy for more information. Debit card transactions do not qualify for Payment Control. When you choose to return an item that has been presented to PNC for payment, we will return the item to the payee’s bank for insufficient funds, and the payee will not receive payment from PNC. You may still have an obligation to pay the payee for goods, services or other products. PNC is not responsible for satisfying any obligations between you and the payee or any other party with respect to an item you decide to return. Before choosing to return an item, you should consider rules the payee may have or actions the payee may take on late/returned payments.
