Peggy Hrindak
President & CEO
Phoenix Business Solutions

"A business in growth mode requires straightforward solutions and a high level of care. PNC offers both."

Relationships Spark Growth

Peggy Hrindak has built a team of electricians and support personnel she believes is second to none in terms of capabilities and experience. But even more critical to the success of Phoenix Business Solutions, says Peggy, is the commitment of every professional on her staff to provide customer care that leads to mutually beneficial long-term relationships.

Peggy began her career working at an electrical contracting company. She progressed to the role of operations manager, where she supervised the day-to-day performance of 80 technicians. As her capabilities and confidence grew, she identified lapses in leadership at the company and developed her own ideas about running an electrical contracting business. Then she took the leap. In 2000, Peggy established Phoenix Business Solutions LLC, an electrical contracting firm specializing in low-voltage installations of automated systems such as fiber optics, voice data and life safety security systems.

"I wanted to build a business with the kind of leadership a company should have - a company where employees are valued and respected," says Peggy, whose first order of business upon starting Phoenix was to pursue her electrician's license, an undertaking that involved months of study culminating in a rigorous exam. "I felt it was my responsibility to hold the firm's electrical license. Earning it wasn't easy, but when you lead an organization, your people look to you to set the bar for dedication and work ethic."

Peggy's team has followed her lead, demonstrating professionalism and perseverance that has helped them earn the trust and business of clients ranging from several Fortune 100 companies to universities, schools and hospitals. Phoenix' DBE/WBE certifications open doors as well, although once the door is open, it's the company's capabilities and service orientation that win accounts. "We provide customized, reliable solutions with incomparable customer service," says Peggy. "Once clients contract with us, they tend to stay with us."

A Bank Tuned in to Growth

These established relationships have helped Phoenix Business Solutions, now a multimillion-dollar business, grow steadily for several years. And, over the next five to seven years, Peggy is planning for additional 15 percent annual revenue growth and 3 percent annual employment growth. This aggressive forecast necessitated a bank that would understand and accommodate the company's surge. After reviewing the capabilities of several banks, Peggy selected PNC.

"A business in growth mode requires straightforward solutions and a high level of care. PNC offers both," says Peggy. "My banking team answers all of my questions - quickly - and supports our growth with appropriate products and services. They also discuss new ideas and solutions with my office staff. Like Phoenix Business Solutions, PNC understands the importance of building strong, lasting relationships."
