Additional Information
Asset Allocation Determines Fund Selection
PNC Wealth Management will begin by gaining an understanding of your financial goals, time horizon and risk tolerance – to help determine an appropriate asset allocation strategy. In this case, asset allocation strategy refers to the mix of equities (stocks) and fixed income investments (bonds) that make up your portfolio.
At one end of the spectrum is a conservative asset allocation model, structured to help generate income and more heavily weighted in bond and money market funds. At the other end of the spectrum is the aggressive model, geared toward longer-term growth, and more heavily weighted toward equity funds.
Then, using your asset allocation and risk tolerance assessment as a guide, your PNC Wealth Management professional will work with you to select the appropriate model and the firm will select the mutual funds or ETFs to construct your portfolio based on the model selected. The mutual funds and ETFs available through PNC Directions are rigorously researched and their performance is monitored on an ongoing basis.
Reviewing Your Portfolio
Once your portfolio is established, you’ll receive monthly account statements and quarterly performance reports so you can stay current on your holdings. Additionally, you will have access to a PNC Wealth Management professional who can answer any questions regarding the performance of your account. PNC Wealth Management professionals can make adjustments to your investments should your goals or financial situation change.
