Easy ways to add money to your account
Choose the method that works best for you.
- Set up Direct Deposit for your paycheck, pension, or benefits right in the PNC Mobile app. It’s quick and secure. Learn more about how to set up Direct Deposit.
- Deposit checks from your phone using the app. With PNC Express Funds, you can access your money immediately for a fee.
- Deposit checks or cash at any PNC DepositEasySM ATM or at a PNC Branch. Find an ATM or PNC Branch near you.
- Transfer money from another PNC or non-PNC account. Learn more about transferring funds.
PNC Simple Checking has guardrails to help prevent overspending
If your balance isn’t enough, we simply decline the charge and won’t charge you an overdraft fee
There are situations where your account may still become overdrawn. For example, gas stations often pre-authorize a set amount before they know the total, which might be less than what you actually spend. If you spend more than what's available in your account, because the transaction is already authorized, your account will become overdrawn. You still won't be charged a fee in these cases.
Set up Online Bill Pay
Online Bill Pay can be especially helpful when it comes to managing your non-discretionary expenses, like utilities and rent or mortgage payments. You can manage most of your bills in one place and control when payments are made and how much to pay. Available in both Online Banking and the PNC Mobile app.
